How much teeth do you show when you smile? Some could argue that your smile is the most important feature of your face! Show to little of your teeth, and that can take away from your attractiveness. Show too much of your teeth, gums and all, and that can distract people from your greatest asset. Nature presents us with facial features that can enhance or detract from one’s beauty; your “smile line” or “upper lip smile line” is characterized into three categories.
High smile line
A high smile line is when you show 100% of your teeth and more than 1mm of your of yours gums when you smile.
Average smile line
An average smile line is when 75% to 100% of your teeth are showing and some of your gum, less than 1mm. This type of smile line is considered the most esthetic.
Low smile line
A low smile line is when you show less than 75% of your teeth.
However, remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I don’t think you could argue that this smile is not beautiful! Right? Worst case- if your DNA didn’t give you the smile you wished for- well cosmetic dentistry can!
This is very interesting. I enjoyed reading.
